PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

Fourth Sunday of Easter

April 26, 2026

Celebrant: With faith, we offer our prayers…

Deacon/Reader:

1. Show us the way to peace in Your world, Lord, especially in the Middle East and in every place where the suffering of Your people continues. …We Pray to the Lord.

2. Change the hearts and minds of the leadership in the US, in Iran and in Israel and lead us into the peace that only God can give us. …We Pray to the Lord.

3 For Pope Leo, for the Bishops, for Your Priests and for all those who lead Your Church in the world You love; give them hearts for Your people. …We Pray to the Lord.

4. Teach each one of us how to pray and how to live for You in these times. …We Pray to the Lord.

5. For the leaders in Your world, give them brave hearts and a greater love for the people they are called to serve, Lord. …We Pray to the Lord.

6. For the poor and persecuted in Your world: Change our hearts and open our eyes to see what is happening and to turn away from the betrayal of Love which our blindness creates. …We Pray to the Lord.

7. Show us what we can do in the time we are given - to make a difference in the lives of your people, especially those who are poor and persecuted. …We Pray to the Lord.

6.  We ask for deeper insight and stronger conviction to follow the truth Your Son came to live and to show us the Way to follow Him- now- in our time in Your long History with us, Lord. …We Pray to the Lord.

7.  “Now, since the struggle deepens, since evil abides and good does not yet prosper, help us gather what strength we have - what confidence and Valor - that our small victories may end in Triumph and the world awaited be a world attained.”  …We Pray to the Lord.

Celebrant: Loving Father, hear us and with the Light of Your Love, guide us always, as we pray in Your Holy Name, through Christ our Lord.

R: Amen.
